With our CCW and Home Defense classes, you will learn all you need to know about how best to use your firearm, and how to do it legally.
CCW Classes
Conceal Carry
Basic concealed carry - 4hr
Arizona is one of several states that offer good citizens the ability to carry a concealed weapon. During this 4-hour non-shooting course we will teach you about the basic components of legal carry, mental awareness, interactions with law enforcement and how to be safe. Following the completion of this course you will be able to submit your completed application to DPS for a concealed carry permit issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Dispel the myths on what, and where, you can carry through this educational class

Comprehensive Concealed Carry - 7hr
This 7-hour comprehensive course covers all the items covered by the basic class, but is designed for the average shooter with basic firearms knowledge and includes live-fire range time for basic target qualification. Not sure which firearm you are looking to get yet? Not a problem, Here at Caswells. Our course fee includes the rental of a firearm and all necessary equipment; ammunition must be purchased separately at the time of class.

HD 100
Home Defense 100
Have you ever wondered how you would react to a threat in your home? Need help putting a basic plan in place? Then this is the class for you. Caswells’ Home Defense 100 (HD100) is a course designed to help prepare the student and provide the basic resources for creating and executing a defense plan in the home. Topics that will be covered in the classroom include: defining a family-inclusive defense plan, safe mobility with a firearm within the home, identifying a safe-room environment, and what to do if a threat is encountered or not. Students will also perform live-fire exercises that cover real world shooting skills!
Equipment required for this course is: a firearm (a rental is available if needed), a flashlight, 75 rds of ammunition (must purchase Caswells’ ammo if using rental firearm), and Ear and Eye protection.

HD 200
Home Defense 200
The HD-200 class picks up where the HD-100 class left off. We will cover unarmed self defense skills that will help you in the home, as well as during your normal daily actives. We will also go into more depth with establishing emergency plans, relating to intruders as wells as fires, etc… We will cover low light tactics and using cover to your advantage. You will implement these tactics in live fire drills which will include standing, kneeling and sitting positions. We will also have a question and answer session pertaining to which firearm is right for you. We will also cover some conceal carry concerns, such as how and when to carry your firearm.
